Robb White was a master of the art of spinning a yarn, an old salt, dispensing wisdom and entertainment in a voice part Florida cracker, part biology professor, always hilarious.  Flotsam and Jetsam includes stories published previously in How to Build a Tin Canoe, and many times more.

White's stories mostly revolve around boats and boatbuilding, with sidetracks into esoteric subjects such as clams, sawmills, cast-netting, and alligators, to name a few.  He delves into sails and paddles and motors with equal passion, and his love of the simple joys in life is infectious.

Flotsam and Jetsam is a must-read for anyone who loves boats, and for anyone who values the old ways of doing it yourself.
