The Minimum Boat is a collection of humorous, tongue-in-cheek diatribes on subjects as diverse as anchoring, fishing, alcohol and marine sanitation.

Sam Llewellyn joyfully turns the clock back to a time of simple pleasures on the water.  Shunning in-mast furling systems, passionately against the replacement of shrimping nets with walk-in freezers, and perplexed by sailors who spend more time fixing the hot water system than getting their hands on the tiller, he seeks to realign today's seafaring priorities.

Drawn from the popular column in Practical Boat Owner, and illustrated with cartoons by the inimitable Mike Peyton, these sage and loony meditations will appeal to anyone who has ever balked at fixing the head, but believes that there is nothing, simply nothing, half so much worth doing as messing about in boats.
