Charlie’s Charts of the U.S. Pacific Coast describes routes that a coastal cruiser might follow: offshore, inshore or harbor-hopping between Seattle, Washington and San Diego California. It describes safe approaches to all major facilities as well as anchorages in the Channel Islands, with sketches of harbors and marinas indicating the locations of major facilities.
This updated and revised edition feataures a GPS Waypoint list intended to assist a cruiser in locating offshore approach buoys and avoiding reefs, points and capes by a safe margin. Waypoints are not given following the channel into marinas because facilities, river channels and other areas subject to shoaling are constantly changing.
Charlie’s Charts of the U.S. Pacific Coast is an excellent reference for anyone planning a trip along the US Pacific Coast.
