Material in the QMED – All Ratings Volume 2 (Electricity & Refrigeration) book is designed to prepare people to take the QMED exams for Electrician, Refrigeration Engineer, and Junior Engineer. This new edition (2015) combines the former QMED Electricity and QMED Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Chapter Reprint from Workboat Engineer) in a single volume and was prepared for the newly announced ratings of QMED Refrigerating Engineer as well as for Electrician and Junior Engineer ratings.
QMED Electricity & Refrigeration has been completely revised the to comply with the final rulemaking which appeared in the Federal Register of Dec. 24, 2013. While doing so, they also changed hundreds of Electrical questions and answers as well as replacing many existing illustrations. The current volume has kept some of the older illustrations for instructional purposes and added the new illustrations that the Coast Guard released to the public.
